We’re making a brand-new online series with Checkatrade, and we’re looking for homeowners in London and the surrounding areas to take part.

You could be perfect if:

• You’ve recently moved into your first home, or you’ve got a few DIY projects that have been sitting on your to-do list.

• You’d love a celebrity and a Checkatrade-approved tradesperson to visit for the day and do real work on your home – completely free!

• You’ll be featured on camera, chatting with the tradesperson and taking part in short interviews about your project.

• Anyone else living in your home also feels comfortable being filmed and featured on camera.

• Your home has enough space for a film crew of around 6–10 people (ACROSS ROOMS). We’ll be respectful and careful while we’re there, but we’ll need access to everyday areas like the kitchen, bathroom, and a room to store camera equipment.

• You either own your home or have full written permission from your landlord before applying, as the property owner will need to sign a location release form.

We’re after projects that can be done in a day and are satisfying to watch – something that really shows a before and after.

Here are some great examples:

• Building or transforming a garden shed or outdoor storage area

• Creating a feature wall or redesigning a small room

• Giving a tired garden or patio a quick makeover

• Turning a spare room into a home office or hobby space

• Adding clever storage or shelving to transform a hallway or living area

We’re looking for a mix of homes, flats, semis, and detached houses that have enough space for filming.
